Nearly two years ago I began transitioning from the court reporting world to the captioning world. The first time I wrote the news, if I got every other word, I was doing good. I cried, thought I'd never be able to do this, and nearly gave up.
If you as a reporter, captioner, or CART provider could have one wish, what would it be? A few might say less stress, (keep dreaming!) or doing something innovative with their weekend, like, I don't know, relax instead of working on transcripts.
I have a weird sense of fun. Earning certifications has become a freaky hobby for me. Like stamp collectors collect rare stamps, I'm on a mission to collect as many certifications as I can. What will I do when there's no more to obtain?
